As of June of 2010, Montrose was home to six of the nineteen historic districts in Houston: Audobon Place, Avondale East, Avondale West, Courtlandt Place, Westmorland, and First Montrose Commons. There are many grocery options in the neighborhood including; Trader Joe’s, HEB, Whole Foods and Kroger. Some notable sites in Montrose include The Menil Collection, Rothko Chapel, Houston Center for Photography, and University of St. Thomas.
